How the melee loop works

Block or parry until the stun bar fills, then use Merciless Attacks. Kick during a block helps fill that bar and scales with Dexterity. Strength is the obvious weapon stat on the attribute column. Food is not optional: Last Meal keeps a shorter buff if you die in the Shroud, which you will while learning red fog.

Is there an Enshrouded 2 weapon?

No. Two-handed is a weapon type. A sequel has not been announced.

Do I need a shield?

No. Blocking exists without dedicating the build to Guardian.
