You can play Enshrouded alone, offline. PC co-op is up to 16. PS5 online co-op is up to 8 and requires PS Plus. Keen has said there is no PvP and no plan to add it.

Keen’s FAQ says characters keep equipment, inventory, levels, skills, map memory, personal recipes, collected Shroud Roots, lore, and towers they found themselves when changing worlds. World progression, rescued survivors, and most station-dependent recipes do not transfer. Server permission groups predate 1.0: the official roles article already documents them for Update 2. The 1.0 update expands hosting controls, and enemy density can scale with party size on the Automatic setting. This page does not establish an exact boss-health multiplier.

Why a friend cannot see the session

Keen’s network article says a private Steam profile may prevent a peer-to-peer session appearing in the browser; inviting friends through Steam is another option. Multiplayer uses IPv4. Try a wired connection if Wi-Fi has packet loss. Check that the host and clients have compatible game versions, and test without mods if necessary. Adventure Sharing distributes player-made worlds and dungeons; it is not cross-platform co-op.

    GPortal is the Enshrouded host linked from the official site. On 16 October 2026 a 30-day plan started at $9.40, with 10 slots at $23 and 16 slots at $28.

Questions

Do bosses get harder with more players?

Enemy density can scale automatically with the party. A boss-health formula was not in the 1.0 notes. Treat any exact multiplier as unverified.

Is there PvP?

No. The official FAQ says there is no PvP and no plan to add it.
