One root, one point. Fell bosses often guard them and drop Shroud Cores. The Albaneve Summits set is large enough to be its own search. Cinder’s Cradle, the 1.0 area north of Veilwater Basin, added 12 more. Old “total roots” posts from early access are short by at least that dozen.

A well has a root in its depths and pays 3 points. A surface root pays 1.
