Hotfix 1.0.0.2: 16 October 2026
Build 1269579 fixes world settings that stopped being configurable after the previous hotfix. It also fixes dense grey fog on Nvidia graphics cards, factory placement/menu issues, and several skill-tree localization errors.
The notes list crash fixes involving save migration, fast travel or glider landings in entity-heavy worlds, Adventure Sharing, water simulation, large enemy counts, the Twitch link server, a full backpack, and exiting the game. These are published fixes, not a promise that every crash is resolved.
A corrupted character that previously crashed migration is now skipped rather than migrated. Keen says a repair-and-migration fix is still being worked on. Back up your saves; do not interpret a missing character as permission to delete old save files.
Hotfix 1.0.0.1
Shipped 15 October 2026 as build 1267041. The notes call out random crashes, indoor dynamic lighting, the Fire Wisp scroll level, the artbook and world map, and crashes started by some peripherals.
Earlier workarounds and their version boundary
The 1.0.0.1 notes describe incorrect reverb and loudness below 100% master volume, with a workaround of leaving the game master at 100% and adjusting system volume. The 1.0.0.2 notes do not say this audio issue is fixed; its current status is not independently tested here.
The 1.0.0.1 Adventure Sharing subscription workaround addressed a broken world edit button. The newer 1.0.0.2 notes explicitly fix world-settings configuration, so update before relying on that older workaround.
