Start with the current loader and mod authors’ instructions. EML has a documented proxy-DLL workflow; this page summarizes it without claiming a tested 1.0 installation.

A framework, not a single tutorial
EML’s author documents both proxy-DLL and command-line methods. The steps below summarize the recommended proxy-DLL route as read on 16 October 2026. They do not establish that every existing mod supports 1.0.
- Close the game, back up saves, and check that the loader and mod authors support your current game build.
- For EML’s proxy-DLL method, obtain the author’s current release and copy dbghelp.dll to the game installation root, following any replacement instructions for older loader files.
- Create a mods directory in that installation root and place compatible mod files there as their authors specify.
- Launch the game normally for the proxy method. Linux/Wine/Proton users need the additional DLL-override setup in the author’s Usage Guide.
- After a game or loader update, recheck compatibility before enabling mods. Use the author’s separate CLI instructions if you choose that method instead.
Questions
Can I mix EML and Shroudtopia?
This page has not tested that combination or verified current Shroudtopia instructions. Do not assume loaders are interchangeable or compatible; use the mod author’s explicitly supported setup.
Do I need Nexus?
Only if the author hosts the file there. The loader itself is usually a separate download.
